Onsite Registration Software
Register walk-ins and print their badges at the door
Onsite registration is the moment someone arrives without a ticket, or with a plus one, and needs to be in the event quickly. Eventdex lets you add that attendee on the spot, collect payment onsite and print a badge, so a walk-in ends up on the same list as everyone who registered in advance.
Staff can register walk-ins on handheld iOS or Android devices and tablets, or attendees can use a self-service kiosk to enter their own details. This page is about that registration moment. For the full onsite toolset, see Eventdex onsite event management.

Why teams register walk-ins with Eventdex
Walk-ins join the same list
A walk-in is registered in the same platform as advance registrants, so check-in, badges and attendance reports cover everyone.
Payment at the point of registration
Collect payment onsite when a walk-in registers. The onsite event management page also describes managing partial payments and selling tickets onsite to last-minute walk-ins.
Use the devices you already have
Register people on handheld iOS or Android devices and tablets. Tap to pay works on compatible iOS devices with no additional hardware, according to its page.
Fast at the desk
Barcode scanning checks attendees in within 3 seconds, and self-service kiosk mode lets attendees check themselves in, which reduces the need for staff at the desk.
Keeps working offline
Check-ins are stored on the device when the venue connection is poor and sync in the background once it returns.
What it does not say
Eventdex's pages do not describe a hard cap on walk-ins, door-only price tiers or a separate onsite registration form. Ask in a demo how your setup would work.

FAQ
Onsite Registration Software: common questions
What is onsite registration software?
It is the software that lets you register attendees at the event itself: adding walk-ins, collecting payment, checking people in and printing badges. Eventdex covers walk-in registration with onsite payment, QR check-in and on-demand badge printing. Eventdex's registration, guest list and check-in pages each describe part of this.
Can walk-ins pay at the door?
Yes. The registration and guest list pages say walk-ins can be registered and payment collected onsite, through gateways including PayPal, Stripe and Authorize.Net. Contactless Tap to Pay also takes card payments on a compatible iOS device. Payment options depend on the gateway your event uses.
Can attendees register themselves at a kiosk?
Yes. Self-service kiosks let attendees type in their own details and print their own badge, and the guest list and check-in pages describe generating tickets for last-minute registrants at a kiosk. Eventdex's pages do not detail the kiosk form fields; ask in a demo.
What hardware do I need?
Registration can run on iOS and Android phones and tablets. Badges print on supported Zebra, Epson and Brother printers, and scanning uses devices such as Socket Mobile and Linea Pro scanners. Tap to Pay needs no additional hardware beyond a compatible iOS device.
How is this different from onsite event management?
This page covers the registration moment for walk-ins. Onsite event management is the wider platform with session tracking, seating, ticket sales and attendance data, and the check-in and badge printing page covers the hardware in detail. Use this page to understand registration and the others to see the rest of the day.
Does onsite registration work without internet?
Offline check-in is documented: check-ins are stored on the device and sync once the connection returns. Eventdex's pages do not say whether new walk-in registrations and payments also work offline, so confirm that in a demo. Your venue's connection decides how much of this matters on the day.
