Steps for PC:
Step 1
Go to https://qz.io/ and download qz.io on your pc.
Step 2
Install the Printer Driver for your printer.
For Zebra Printer
- Install the Zebra Driver using Zebra Setup Utilities to Communicate with Zebra printer with the PC /MAC
- Make sure to follow the right options while installing for USB wire connected or Wi-Fi.
- Browser print works for Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari browsers on PC and MAC.
- It will not work on mobile devicesĀ – You need to have a ScanAttendee mobile app that can be downloaded from the App store or Play Store and there is no need to download any other printer software.

Chrome Silent Printing:
- Right click on the chrome browser icon from the desktop.
- Go to Properties
- Go Add this flag —kiosk-printing at the end of the input field.
- Restart the web browser.
Step 4
Login to ScanAttendee Web App – https://sa.eventdex.com >> Login with Admin Credentials
Step 5
Go to Printer >> Select the Printer Client as OZ >> Select the Printer from the listing
If you don’t see the printers, toggle the Print Service button and make sure QZ Tray is running.
Step 6
Go to Badge >> Select badge.
Step 7
Go to Attendee Screen >> Select Attendee >> Print the badge.
Steps for MAC:
Step 1
Install QZ Tray from https://qz.io/download/ on your MAC
Step 2
Install CUPS – to get access to local host printers, you need to install CUPS.

Step 3
You need to set the Default printer settings like badge size, Media Type , etc. otherwise, it will mess up the printer configuration. – http://localhost:631/printers/
It might ask to run the following command to enable administration:
cupsctl WebInterface=yes
You need to run this from the terminal
Step 4
Login to ScanAttendee Web App – https://sa.eventdex.com >> Login with Admin Credentials
Step 5
Go to Printer >> Select the Printer Client as OZ >> Select the Printer from the listing

Step 6
Go to Badge >> Select badge.
Step 7
Go to Attendee Screen >> Select Attendee >> Print the badge.
Steps for iPAD:
Step 1
Install QZ Tray from https://qz.io/download/ on your pc.
Step 2
Run the following command on your PC for version Windows (QZ Tray 2.2+), you will find thisĀ in the following documentation : https://qz.io/docs/print-server#connect-to-qz-tray
Step 3
Open command prompt as Administrator and run the following commands
C:\WINDOWS\system32>cd “%PROGRAMFILES%\QZ Tray\”
C:\Program Files\QZ Tray>qz-tray-console.exe certgen –hosts “YourIPAddress;localhost”
Step 4
Run QZ Tray in your pc
Step 5
Now go to Safari Browser in your iPad and type YourIPAddress:8182, you will see below screenshot and download Root – ca certificate only. (First one)
Step 6
Now go to your iPad settings – > search for profile -> you will see configuration profile with your IP Address. Install it.
Step 7
Now go to your iPad settings -> search for certificates -> Enable Full Trust for the Root – Ca certificate.
Step 8
Go to Safari browser -> login to https://sa.eventdex.com/ for ScanAttendee Web app
Step 9
Go to printers screen -> Enter Host PC IP Address in your IPAddress field and check secure box as shown in screenshot below. If you don’t see printers, toggle Print Service Button.
Step 10
Go to Badges -> make sure default badge is selected.
Go to Attendees -> Select an attendee -> Print the Badge.
